Steve Smith started shooting in the music business in Los Angeles in 1976. He’s shot thousands of national editorial, corporate & advertising assignments; was chief photographer for the Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee; and has produced extensive lifestyle stock photography.
His assignment work has appeared in “People”, “Time”, “Rolling Stone”, “Men’s Journal”, “Life”, “Fortune”, “Forbes”, “Business Week and “The New York Times Magazine”. Among the celebrities that Steve has photographed on assignment are: Sir Anthony Hopkins, Angelina Jolie, Sarah Jessica Parker, Vivica Fox, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Matthew Perry.
In 1994 Steve moved his family from Venice, CA to Sun Valley, ID. Commuting between L.A. and Sun Valley wore thin so in 2002 Steve relocated to Boise, ID to open his current studio.
